Prairie Dropseed produces a fountain of fine textured, emerald green leaves, adding a touch of elegance to any planting. Blooms August to September. The seed head has a faint but unmistakable fragrance, a combination of fresh popcorn and cilantro. The highly nutritious seeds are much sought after by birds. Native. Best in full sun and well drained soil. Very drought and heat tolerant. Ht.: 2-3 feet. Z3-8.
